REAL ID Deadline Is May 7
Beginning May 7, the federal government will require U.S. travelers to present a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or identification card or another federally approved form of identification to board a domestic flight or enter a secure federal facility or military base. Some military bases already require a REAL ID or a federally approved form of identification. A REAL ID is an optional, upgraded version of your driver’s license or identification card that has a star in the upper right corner. Visit DHS.gov to see if you are REAL ID ready and map out your path to REAL ID readiness by May 7.
