Code of Conduct
Membership in the National PACE Association (NPA) is governed by this code of conduct. The policy of NPA is to uphold the highest standards of legal, ethical and personal conduct. The reputation for excellence of NPA and its members requires complying with all applicable laws and regulations, acting with the highest standards of conduct, and supporting and protecting the integrity and reputation of the PACE model of care.
NPA Code of Conduct
Members, board members and committee members of NPA shall abide by the following:
- Recognize that the chief function of NPA is to serve the best interests of its members, PACE participants, and the PACE model of care.
- Support the vision, mission and strategic/policy objectives of NPA to promote the PACE model of care and the strategic/policy objectives adopted by State PACE Associations and members.
- Publicly support the NPA Board of Directors, NPA leadership, State PACE Associations and other members.
- Act with professionalism and respect in carrying out the vision, mission and strategic/policy objectives of NPA and when interacting with other members and NPA staff.
- Act with the highest standards of ethical behavior, personal integrity and transparency.
- Support the commitment of NPA to diversity, equity and inclusion for itself and its members.
- Respect and uphold the laws and regulations governing PACE.
- Disclose any actual, potential or perceived conflicts of interest to NPA or its members as necessary.
- Refrain from using information obtained as a member of NPA to secure a competitive advantage to your organization to the detriment of another NPA member.
- Protect confidential and proprietary NPA information to which you have access.
