Intus Care, a technology company in the PACE market, will host a virtual roundtable discussion on "PACE and the Future of Health Care Data Interoperability" on Nov. 14 featuring NPA president and CEO Shawn Bloom and other prominent guests in the health care and PACE community.

Rep. Gabe Amo (D-RI-1) toured the PACE Rhode Island facility in Woonsocket last month to help celebrate National PACE Month. PACE staffers are knowledgeable about what happens in the lives of participants, and they focus on the whole person, he said. “They also prioritize the smiles.”

LIFE Coordinated Commonwealth PACE is celebrating National PACE Month with a range of activities and a special focus on social isolation among elders in Western Kentucky. “Social isolation is a challenge for older adults,” said CEO Nancy Everitt. “We want to change that.”

Portland Fire & Rescue honored 14 staff members of ElderPlace PACE Laurelhurst, in Portland, OR, during its 2024 Awards Ceremony for “going above and beyond the call of duty."

Emily Dawson Petersen has been appointed executive director of Colorado PACE, an affiliate of Care Synergy. Petersen joins the health care organization in advance of its anticipated launch later this year as the newest provider of Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) services in the Denver Metro area.

Upham's PACE, in Boston, MA, has been designated “Age-Friendly” by the city after staff conducted walk-through visits at two centers of the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). The Boston Age-Friendly Project is a collaborative effort to make the city a better place to live and age.

The Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) is attracting interest from lawmakers in states including Georgia, Illinois and Ohio. More large companies and health care systems are opening PACE centers or buying existing ones from smaller nonprofits, resulting in explosive growth.

AltaMed Health Services has opened its first Alternative Care Setting (ACS) in Compton, CA, to provide participants enrolled in AltaMed PACE with an additional place to access services closer to home. The nearly 10,000-square foot facility is the first PACE location in the city and will serve up to 150 area residents. AltaMed PACE held a grand opening celebration for the community on Dec. 9.

Rocky Mountain Health Care Services (RMHCS) recently celebrated the grand opening of a new site on Explorer Drive in Colorado Springs, CO. Members of the Colorado Springs and Tri-Lakes chambers of commerce attended the ribbon-cutting for Rocky Mountain PACE at Explorer, where RMHCS leaders and board members greeted more than 250 guests.

Hanh Brown, of AI50 Connect, spoke with Peter Fitzgerald, executive vice president of Policy and Strategy at the National PACE Association, about "Navigating Aging: PACE's Comprehensive Care Approach" to take "a deep dive into the transformative world of senior health care."

The Massachusetts Association of PACE Programs (MassPACE) held its first legislative briefing on Oct. 26 at the Massachusetts State House to advocate for the eight Programs of All-Inclusive Care (PACE) in the commonwealth. Sponsored by Sen. Jamie Eldridge (D-Middlesex/Worcester), the event was an opportunity for state legislators and their aides to connect with PACE staff in their districts and learn about the valuable services that the PACE model provides to their constituents.
