WASHINGTON, DC – The National PACE Association (NPA) applauds U.S. Reps. Debbie Dingell (D-MI-12) and John Moolenaar (R-MI-4) for reintroducing the PACE Expanded Act, which seeks to accelerate the capacity and reach of the existing 155 Programs of All-Inclusive Care for Elderly (PACE) organizations and spur the establishment of new PACE organizations.

House Passes Bill That Will Provide Veterans with Additional Access to PACE; NPA Urges Swift Senate Passage

WASHINGTON, DC – On the second anniversary of the passing of Sen. Bob Dole (R-KS), the National PACE Association (NPA) praised the U.S. House of Representatives for passing the Elizabeth Dole Home Care Act (H.R. 542) by a vote of 414-5, which will give veterans increased access to the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) across the nation. NPA urges the Senate to pass the bill soon so more veterans can enjoy the highest quality of life possible as they age by receiving any care needed at home or in the community.

NPA Urges House to Pass Bill Providing Veterans Additional Access to PACE

In anticipation of a vote in the House of Representatives soon, the National PACE Association (NPA) urges Congress to pass the Elizabeth Dole Home Care Act (H.R. 542) so veterans can enjoy the best quality of life possible as they age.

Earlier this year, the House Committee on Veterans' Affairs voted unanimously to advance the legislation, which would establish formal partnerships between PACE and Veterans Affairs Medical Centers (VAMCs).

Senate Bill Would Allow Expansion of the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE)

U.S. Sen. Bob Casey (D-PA), chair of the Special Committee on Aging, joined 20 other senators in introducing the Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Relief Act. The bill would increase the federal medical assistance percentage (FMAP) for Medicaid HCBS, including the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), by 10 percent for two years.

NPA Applauds Support of House VA Committee for Elizabeth Dole Home Care Act

On July 27, 2023 the U.S. House of Representatives Veterans Affairs (VA) Committee gave its unanimous support for the Elizabeth Dole Home Care Act by a voice vote yesterday. Through this favorable vote advancing the bill, the legislation now can be debated by the full House.

Harvard Business Review Article Highlights Benefits and Growth of PACE

On June 15, 2023, The Harvard Business Review published an article showcasing the benefits of the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). The article cites a case study of PACE Southeast Michigan that demonstrates “how PACE successfully delivers individualized, home-centered care to poor older adults while lowering overall costs” and describes how PACE improves quality of life.
