Medical Director for Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE)
Are you looking for a work-life balance and also derive a deep fulfillment and satisfaction from making a difference in the lives of the people for whom you provide care? Are you interested in helping the elderly and their families who care for them to remain living safely in their homes with dignity and comfort?
AASC is searching for a full-time medical director to care for and provide medical oversight for our established and growing PACE program. We currently operate PACE in eight counties and one city with 2 medical clinics and a 3rd to open within a year and 4 Adult Day Centers. Our PACE program has proposed expansion plans to include neighboring counties and another city within the next 2-4 years with a full-time medical director.
AASC is located in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains of Southwest Virginia where the air is fresh and you can count the stars at night! The area is ideal for hiking, trail riding, biking, fishing, hunting and the home of the Back of the Dragon motorcycle and sports car driving odyssey. There are many local cultural activities year-round. The nationally acclaimed Barter Theater is located in Abingdon, VA, part of our PACE service area. Several local renovated historical theaters within our region support music, art and drama programs. There are State Parks, such as Hungry Mother State Park and The Breaks State Park, to name a few. Many music and art venues, such as Birthplace of Country Music, Bristol, VA support our cultural heritage.
AASC is a very progressive area agency on aging with 3 divisions; aging, public transportation and PACE. We have Intergenerational Day Care at our main campus and a senior living community. We are the complete package for aging well.
